Here are some pictures of us helping at the school. We all helped alot in Teacher Joyce’s room. Some of us helped in teacher Lisa’s room. Also, we helped with tons of other things. We put on the Olympics for a field day on Friday. We were in charge of P.E. for the week. Also, we did a week of prayer. Finally, we tried to be a blessing and help wherever we could. I believe we succeeded.

On Monday, we helped in the kitchen, cleaned, and helped in different classrooms. After helping, in the late afternoon, we were supposed to go on a 4 mile hike. However, we got sidetracked. We had lots of fun! We climbed a couple mesas, rolled down and played in sand dunes, and took lots of pictures. So, here are a few of them.
We are so blessed to be here in Monument Valley and covered by your prayers! God has brought us here safely with NO mishaps. Praise God!
We keep intending to update this blog with photos, etc., but exhaustion calls us to bed at night. We are super busy here and happy to be a blessing to these lovely folks at the mission school.
If all goes well we will have photos and more information tonight much later!
Please continue to pray!
By the way, thank you SO much for the money that has come in for the trip thus far. At this point we are hoping to be able to leave the school with money to help pay for the electricity and water we used while here. We do not have enough to do that–unless we choose to just stay down here and therefore not need gas money to go home! Sounds fun to us, actually! This school could use the funds as they do not have enough money to pay their teacher salaries this month!
Everyone was tired but happy when they arrived at Monument Valley on Sunday night at 8:30 pm. They had left Riverside Church around 3:30 pm on Sabbath afternoon and driven through the night to be able to make it down to SE Utah by Sunday evening. Everyone was impressed with the breath-taking landscape around them as they drove down to Monument Valley. Thanks to everyone for your prayers.
This trip is being organized by Lisa. In case of emergencies, please contact her cell phone 503.421.6350. Please understand that the group will be busy much of the time and there may be areas where they are not reachable. Thank you.
Today the church van got taken into the shop to repair some wiring problems at U-Haul on Andresen. It thankfully was not too expensive. On Monday, it went in to get the oil changed and have everything looked over at Hi-Way Fuel. It all appears to be in good working order. The tires are the one thing that raised the biggest concern. The tread is still fine, but they are six years old. Please pray for safety on the road for the vehicle and all the mission trip volunteers.
