Home School

A number of people like the idea of homeschooling, but they may not have the time or resources to do it all themselves.

A growing number of people in SW Washington are entrusting their precious children to The IDEAL School, where children study with a licensed teacher in a home environment, whether or not they live in Washougal.

When you choose to homeschool, you as the parent decide what you want to do with your child educationally. You can have them at home with you full-time or part-time while enrolling them in co-ops or other educational programs like The IDEAL School. Students at The IDEAL School work in cooperation with River Homelink in Camas, WA to enhance their learning opportunities and environment.

You can have your child study at home, just not your own home, but in the home-school environment of The IDEAL School in Washougal, Washington.

You guys are in Washougal, right? I heard you had really great programs for homeschoolers. We aren’t happy with the education our children are getting at public school even though our local school district is considered a good one. We really want our children to be in a more nurturing home environment. We can’t wait to come out and visit the school soon. I can’t believe my kids are going to get to learn to bake and go outside during school and learn about science rather than just sitting in a lab. Keep up the great work!

Yes, we are in the country – on 20 acres – outside of Washougal. We’re surrounded by forest and have a creek running through the property. We’re just up from the Washougal River in a recreational area. The kids have a great time exploring the area and learning at the same time. Thanks.
